I'm looking for the IT...The IT that makes our hearts sing when we hear music (even if our vocals don't match)! The IT that transports us back to a time and place so real and familiar that it feels like yesterday. The place that transcends time and space and fills us with love and joy (and sometimes sorrow) from times gone by.
Nothing compares to music for doing just that. I began this blog as a question to the universe. The title was the question I've been pondering all day. You've seen lyrics pop up in my writing often, and today was no exception. A dear friend commented about being surrounded by singing birds everywhere she goes and another shared that "universe" means "one song" and stated: "Alone we are one note, together we make a song." And then in that instant, Prince's "When Doves Cry" came on the radio. I followed the trail from birds' songs to music to healing which led me to this blog. Words, visuals, even smells don't transport us quite like music does. Music invokes feelings, and if you've followed me for any length of time, you know that feelings are our souls speaking to us. WAIT! Perhaps that's IT...Music reconnects us with our souls, and that's why it feels so perfect! We "come home" through music! Our souls realign with our thoughts and feelings, returning memories of loved ones and places we call "home." Remembering that our souls only want the very best for us- to experience peace, love and joy at every turn makes music the perfect vehicle. I believe I've answered the very question I posed. If you have insights into the healing properties of music and song, please comment. I'm reaching out to those who can help others heal through music. Please share your wisdom! I believe there is an innate connection between nature's songs and vibrational healing and music therapy and balance for body, mind and soul... www.BelenoCenter.com Namaste.

... The Law of Attraction is a physical law, just like magnetism and gravity. It is probably the most overlooked universal law, however, perhaps because it resides within us and we tend to be a most stubborn species!
And here’s why: Our feelings manifest our reality. It’s really as simple as that. But we have a duel within us, the duel between Ego Talk and Soul Feelings. Everything we could possibly desire is awaiting us: fulfilling relationships, exciting career, that new house, travel- everything! We have been programmed, however, to tune into the Ego Talk (the hamster-wheel chatter) and tune out the Soul Feelings (our intuitive sides). I love the analogy that Sandy Forster uses in her book, How to Be Wildly Wealthy Fast and I relay it to my clients all the time: Think of everything you could ever want-relationships, home, income, new car, health…whatever! as being stocked in your own personal warehouse. Each time you place an order (“I’d love a home like that!”) and begin to feel the excitement surrounding your desire, your warehouse workers get busy and prepare that item for delivery. Then we sabotage it with our doubts: “But…I’ll never be able to afford it,” and back it goes onto the shelves of the warehouse and the warehouse door slams shut. How often do you find yourself doing that exact thing? There are many reasons we sabotage our desires, some of them rooted in the religious dogma that have been placed on us for centuries: Don’t pray for yourself, pray for others; it’s selfish to ask for yourself; put others’ needs ahead of your own; money is the root of all evil; money can’t buy happiness… Remember, humility was designed by the early church to keep political stability, and the people obedient to the ruling class. How many of these do you currently subscribe to? Now I’m not saying that you shouldn’t consider others’ thoughts and feelings, that you shouldn’t be charitable or giving, that you shouldn’t pray for others’ needs. What I’m saying is that your happiness needs to come first. When you have all that you desire, both internally and externally, then you are able to give joyfully and raise everyone up around you. When we feel as if we are constantly giving and never receiving, it tends to make us feel taken advantage of, worn out, exhausted. And then we are unable to manifest that happiness and joy to continue giving and we create a downward spiral for ourselves. The biggest reason why we sabotage our desires is because we don’t realize that we actually have control over them. Once you realize that your thoughts manifest your reality and you have complete control over them, the Law of Attraction becomes a game, a fun tool to use to become your very best you...
